Adrian Pino
Adrián Pino, better known as El Payaso Adrepin, was born in Vedado, Havana, Cuba. From a young age, he showed an artistic inclination that led him to graduate from the Escuela Superior de Arte, specializing in percussion music. However, his passion for the arts did not stop at music; he decided to explore other disciplines, training in acting through a mime course with Elsa Hernández at La Quinta de los Molinos and taking acting classes at the Napoleonic Museum.
His love for children’s theater led him to join the Okantomí group, directed by Pedro Valdés Piña, where he honed his ability to connect with children through dramatic arts. Additionally, Adrián ventured into the world of circus and clowning, which eventually defined him as El Payaso Adrepin, a character who has delighted countless children throughout his career.
In addition to his stage work, Adrián expanded his skills by studying radio broadcasting under the guidance of Cuqui Dueñas, which allowed him to diversify his career and participate in Cuban television. He was part of important children’s dramatized programs on Cubavisión Internacional, such as Pelusín del Monte, Camino de los Juglares, and Claro Clarita, directed by Pepe Cabrera and Bernardo Cordero.
In 2011, Adrián emigrated to the United States, where he continued his artistic career by founding his own company, ADREPIN PRODUCTIONS LLC. Since then, he has dedicated his talent to developing children’s events, puppet shows, and themed parties, always with his charismatic character, El Payaso Adrepin, at the forefront.
Currently, in collaboration with BL Music & Art Academy, Adrián is developing a comprehensive program of Dynamic or Interpretive Arts courses, focusing on clowning, theater, and puppetry for all ages. This new project reinforces his commitment to artistic education and the expansion of performing arts to new generations.
